Wholesale Food Delivery Driver - Commissary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Wholesale Food Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering food products to our customers in the Aroostook, Penobscot, and Hancock counties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate company vehicles to deliver food products to retail stores, restaurants, and other establishments in three local counties.

  • Load and unload food products onto delivery trucks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

  • Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the dispatcher, optimizing delivery times and minimizing delays.

  • Provide exceptional customer service, including greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing any concerns or issues.

  • Maintain accurate delivery records, including delivery manifests, invoices, and customer signatures.

  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper handling of food products and compliance with traffic laws.

  • May be asked to perform food preparation duties in the Freshies Commissary under supervision of the Commissary Logistics Manager when not performing delivery duties.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

  • Previous experience as a delivery driver, preferably in the food distribution industry.

  • Knowledge of local roads, routes, and traffic patterns.

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, up to 50 pounds.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
